Belly Shots – 9 Months of Photos in 2 Minutes [Video]
June 30th, 2009Lots of Pictures
June 25th, 2009Considering how rough the first couple nights at the hospital were, the first night at home with a newborn wasn’t too bad. We have had time to catch more hours of sleep than Monday or Tuesday combined. I was also able to transfer and upload a bunch of pictures. Here are a few. For more, click the photos tab at the top of the page or check out the photo set at Flickr.

Last Day of Just the Two Of Us
June 21st, 2009Last Wednesday we found that Courtney’s blood pressure had risen past a normal, safe level. She was instructed to rest for a couple days and come back Friday. On Friday her blood pressure was still too high. They decided it was safer (for Court’s health) to induce labor early.
While very concerned for Court & Carson’s health, we’re very excited to welcome the little guy into the world.
Over the last couple days I’ve had to quickly wrap things up at work (who through me a surprise party and got us some really nice things), buy a new camera, buy a rocking chair, pick up some other last minute things, and finish up the nursery all while Courtney has been busy resting (and organizing the baby’s closet … shhh).
So here we are. What an awesome first Fathers Day!
Tonight at midnight we’ll head down to Mission Hospital and begin induction. Her OB will come in tomorrow morning and check things out.
When time is available, I’ll post updates here from my phone. For more frequent updates check out my Twitter feed: http://twitter.com/jordanlyall or send me your cell phone # for text updates.
Please keep both Carson and Courtney in your prayers… and, while you’re at it, pray for me too.

More Showers
June 13th, 2009On May 30th my wonderful friend Pamela threw me a nice baby shower at Buca Di Bepo along with my friends Jessie, Kelly and Ana. Pamela, thank you for putting the whole thing together. It was a perfect day! Thank you to everyone who was able to make it and a huge thank you for all of your generous gifts. The Lyall family is very blessed to have all of you in our lives supporting us, loving us and praying for us.
Here is a picture with everyone who helped with the shower.

Pamela and me

With the delicious cake!

I had my last day of work on Friday June 5th. I was planning on working until the 17th but Carson is wearing me out! I’ve been taking lots of naps and slowly getting things ready for the little guy to be here. On my last day of work everyone I work with pitched in and threw me a potluck lunch and gave me some cute baby clothes and a gift card to cover the cost of our crib. I am so grateful! Everyone at my school is amazing! The teacher I work closely with, and friend, Angela threw me a surprise baby shower with the families in my classroom. Jordan knew all about it and came to the shower as well. It was a great day!

The stepping stool that Angela and Vanessa had made for us. Cutest thing ever!

A huge thank you to Angela for putting the shower together and to all the families! It was a bittersweet last day. I’m thankful to be off so I can get as much rest in as I can now and take my time getting ready for the baby. But I already miss the kids and families so much!
As always there are a lot more pictures from these events under our photos link. If all goes as planned Carson should be here in 2 1/2 weeks! So, keep checking in!
