2 Months Old
August 26th, 2009I can’t believe Carson is already 2 months, time is going by so quickly. He is now 22 1\2 inches long and weighs 11 lbs 4 oz. (Still not as big as his uncle Taylor at birth!)
To celebrate his 2 months we took him to Disneyland. On Friday night we went and enjoyed a fun dinner at the Blue Bayou for Papa’s birthday. After dinner we took Carson on The Jungle Cruise for his very first ride, he slept through the whole thing! He did wake up towards the end of the night to get some playtime in.

The next morning we woke up early to go meet my parents at the park. They were staying at the Disneyland Hotel so we were able to join them for early admission into the park. We were there at 7:30 in the morning. All of us had a great time. We took Carson on Finding Nemo, and thanks to Mimi and Boompa and the baby pass, Jordan and I were able to go on a lot of rides. The longest line we had to wait in was 15 minutes. It was a great weekend!
Carson was very excited to go to Disneyland two days in a row!

What a Month!
August 20th, 2009We have been so busy this month. Carson is growing quickly! He loves to smile and make some very silly faces. He’s also becoming pretty vocal. There are nights when we will put him in his crib and we just listen to him grunting and sighing. His cries are becoming stronger and he has discovered fake crying. There are times when he will look at one of us and say, “wah” and then he will just continue staring. It’s hilarious!
Here are some of our favorite faces he makes.
We took Carson to his first trip to the Disneyland Hotel to visit with Mimi and Boompa. We had a great time pushing him around in his stroller and eating a nice dinner. I can’t believe we forgot to take pictures!
Uncle Cory’s birthday was this month and we joined him for dinner at Alcatraz. Carson wore a special rock outfit just for his Uncle.
Carson’s Uncle Jeff, Aunt Leah and cousin Aidan came by this month to visit. We had a wonderful time with them. We put the boys in their strollers and walked to Oggi’s for lunch and then stopped by a park to play when we were finished. I had so much fun with playing with my nephew on the play structure. He is getting so big and says the cutest things! Aidan finally warmed up to Carson. We started out just by having him feel how soft Carson’s skin is and a little while later Aidan was giving Carson kisses. It was so sweet!
Carson’s Gram and Papa threw a family shower for him last Saturday. It was such a fun day and it was exciting to have everyone over to meet Carson. A huge thank you to everyone who came to the shower and for giving Carson such nice gifts. We are truly blessed to have so many close friends and family that love and pray for our little guy.
After the shower Gram and Papa watched Carson so Jordan and I could enjoy our first date since he’s been born. It was a little strange not having him with us but it was nice to get out enjoy a nice dinner. Thank you Ken and Heidi for such a great day!!
I should also mention that it was Uncle Taylor’s birthday this month as well. He is still in South Africa so we couldn’t celebrate with him but we definitely thought of him.
We are looking forward to another fun, yet busy month filled with Disneyland trips, birthday parties, having friends over, and Carson’s first trip to Bakersfield! If you want to see all of the pictures from the past month click here.
One Month Old
July 22nd, 2009
Carson turned one month old today. And it was a busy day. First Court brought him by my office and we got to show him off to my coworkers. He then had a doctors appointment. He now weighs 9 lbs! That’s a 50% increase in just one month!

June 25th, 2009Considering how rough the first couple nights at the hospital were, the first night at home with a newborn wasn’t too bad. We have had time to catch more hours of sleep than Monday or Tuesday combined. I was also able to transfer and upload a bunch of pictures. Here are a few. Carson Thomas Lyall
June 23rd, 2009Carson Thomas Lyall – Born Monday June 22 at 10:13PM. Weighing in at 6 lbs 3 oz. 18 inches tall.
Mother and baby are doing just fine. Thanks to everyone who sent their thoughts, prayers, and congratulations!
We’ll be here at the hospital until tomorrow at 11AM. Feel free to come visit. We’ll have lots of photos and video to show soon after we get home, but I’ll show you a photo I took with my phone.
His name is Carson
March 26th, 2009Jordan and I were planning on keeping our son’s name a secret, but we love it so much that we have decided to share it with everyone. His name is Carson.
We are still deciding on a middle name, but right now we are leaning towards Thomas. Thomas is Jordan’s middle name and his Grandpa’s middle name.
Carson is continuing to grow healthy and strong. We had an appointment on Wednesday and everything is on track and he has a really strong heartbeat. His heartbeat has to be my favorite all time sound.
People have been asking for belly photos so here you go. These were taken a week ago.
Last weekend we visited my best friend Kara in Santa Barbara. We had such a great time! Jordan and I are trying to get all those out of town visits and vacations in now because starting in 3 months it is going to be difficult to get away.
