Jordan and I were planning on keeping our son’s name a secret, but we love it so much that we have decided to share it with everyone. His name is Carson.
We are still deciding on a middle name, but right now we are leaning towards Thomas. Thomas is Jordan’s middle name and his Grandpa’s middle name.
Carson is continuing to grow healthy and strong. We had an appointment on Wednesday and everything is on track and he has a really strong heartbeat. His heartbeat has to be my favorite all time sound.
People have been asking for belly photos so here you go. These were taken a week ago.
Last weekend we visited my best friend Kara in Santa Barbara. We had such a great time! Jordan and I are trying to get all those out of town visits and vacations in now because starting in 3 months it is going to be difficult to get away.
Today we caught another glimpse of our growing boy from a 10 minute long ultrasound. He seems to have everything the right size in the right place. We even got to see and hear his heart beat!
Here’s the video of the entire ultrasound. We won’t feel bad if you can’t sit through the whole thing – most of the time it looks like a lava lamp. But if you’d like to check out the heart beat skip to the three minute mark.
So we asked the ultrasound technician to keep the gender a secret, write it on a piece of paper, and seal it in an envelope. We shared the special moment at a nice dinner out.
It’s a boy!!!!!
Here are a couple of the 18-week ultrasound photos.
We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It lasted 4 days! We are so blessed to be able to spend time with both sides of our family during the holiday season.
On Christmas Eve Jordan’s family met us at our church, Rock Harbor. It was a beautiful service. After church everyone came to our place for dinner and to exchange gifts.
Jordan and I had a very nice and relaxing Christmas morning. We had Christmas music playing, and enjoyed chocolate milk and cinnamon rolls. Jordan’s big gift was Planet Earth on blu-ray. Mine was a Shawn Merriman Chargers Jersey. Wooo, go Chargers!!! This will be the last relaxing Christmas morning we will have for a long time so we definitely took advantage of the situation.
That afternoon we headed over to Grandma “B’s” house in Riverside to hang out. We had a nice lunch and got to catch up with Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Then from there we headed to Bakersfield for Christmas dinner with my family. My Dad’s side of the family all came over. It was so great seeing everybody! We even made a little music at the dinner table, with the help of our wonderful maestro, Scott. Here is a sample of our music. If you can guess the song you get 1,000 points.
The day after Christmas we had a relaxing day in Bakersfield. We went out to lunch with some friends we hardly ever get to see. It was great seeing everyone. It’s funny how you won’t see friends for so long but then when you get together it’s like you hang out all the time with them.
The Saturday after Christmas we got to visit with my other family, the Woessners. It was so great to hang out with them. That night, my Mom’s side of the family came over. It was a very entertaining night. We had a great dinner, took lots of pictures and played Partini. Here is a picture of Grammy with all of her “kids” in the family.
The day after that we headed home so we could be back in time to watch the Chargers game. They are going to the playoffs, I think my jersey is good luck! As anyone can see, our Christmas was busy but it was so much fun!
Oh, and did I mention all the stuff baby got? It’s so fun knowing how loved and spoiled this baby is and he or she is only the size of a medium shrimp!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas as well!!!
